Late Medieval and Early Modern Spain and colonial Mexico.

Biography

Aurelio Espinosa (Ph.D. University of Arizona, 2003) is Assistant Professor of the religious, cultural, and political history of Imperial Spain (1369-1700), specializing in Spanish clerical culture, the Habsburg monarchy, and the Inquisition. His research interests include women and daily life in Renaissance Spain, the colonization of Meso America, and Hispanic material religion.
